I always am. I need Glee. I always have and I know that will be something that will make me smile and bring me warmth to my heart, even when the show is over and I’m getting old. I love how these amazing and talented people can make us put ourselves in their shoes, can make ourselves cry, scream, smile, sing, and believe. Glee makes me believe.
We all have our problems, and fears, and dreams and lives. Despite our religion, nation, race, gender, sexual orientation. We are all people. And someone really smart told me once that we have to hold on to anything we have in our lives, because there is no complete hapiness; we have some really happy moments, and that’s it. We can’t be happy about everything, one hundred percent of the time. There’s no way.
It kills me to know that someone can feel so bad about themselves to take his own life away. But it kills me even more that it happens everyday and we can do something about to change things. Even with baby steps. With kind words, with respect, with love, with smiles, with a little bit more of soul and heart in our acts, we can change this.
And that’s what is marvelous about Glee. It made me wanna change my ways, my actions, my thoughts. It made me, once more, wanna be a better person. It inspired me to try to have more happy moments in my life so I can hold on to, so the people I love can hold on to.
Glee really is about opening yourself to joy. But it’s also about opening yourself to the world, to what the world needs for you to do, to whom the world needs for you to be. It’s about opening… your heart, your mind, your soul.
I love this show. Because of every single thing that is present on it, but even more, because it makes me a better person. And I’m proud of it.
